When he returned to work at the Quan Art and Culture School, a school that had only 7 teachers and 11 students was in danger of being dissolved on the grounds that it was creating “things” that society didn’t did not need and did not help society at that time. time.

The great advances and changes of the Military University of Culture and Arts are the great contributions of NS An Thuyen.

Arguably a rare headmaster, especially in an environment that demands principle and discipline like the School of Military Arts and Letters, he is willing to ignore regulations considered “unlawful written laws” to recruit talented candidates directly. in school entrance examinations.
This is why the Military School of Art and Culture has become the cradle to hone the talents of many generations of students, so that they become great artists loved by the public such as: Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha , Luu Huong Giang, Thai Thuy Linh, Ngoc Khue, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Kasim Hoang Vu, ….
The same goes for teachers, although they don’t have the required qualifications, but if they have real talent, he will invite them to teach and then study for additional degrees. Major-General-Musician An Thuyen’s way of looking at people and using people is truly admirable.
Degrees or material things are not all or the only way to determine a person’s worth, but his students must be real, talented people, not by name or through papers.

If Vietnamese culture exists in the soul of a musician, it will be difficult to have a successful job.
