Timothy Schofield, brother of TV presenter Phillip Schofield, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail after being found guilty of child sexual misconduct between 2016 and 2019. As reported in The Mirror newspaper, 54-year-old civilian police worker from Bath Timothy was found guilty of 11 sexual offenses between 2016 and 2019 against boys between 6 years old and 12.

Schofield testified in his trial and told the jury that he and a minor were watching pornography together but denied performing sexual acts on them.

His Mother

Phillip Schofield’s mother passed away from cancer in 2023 after years of living with dementia. Her final days were spent at their home in Devon where they lived together with Phillip’s husband. She was known as an accomplished presenter who appeared on various shows such as The Cube, Going Live! and This Morning.

Last month at Exeter Crown Court, 54-year-old former civilian police worker from Bath named Patrick Schofield was found guilty of 11 sexual offenses against an 11-year-old boy including two counts of sexual activity with children and 10-2 was handed down as verdict after more than five hours of deliberations from the jury. Following this verdict he was fired by Avon and Somerset Police immediately upon conviction.

At Schofield’s sentencing hearing, the judge described his actions as despicable. She revealed how he exploited his victim for sexual gratification while leaving them in fear and anxiety – she added that there had not been one word of apology from Schofield either.
