Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t discuss his investments much, but is clearly proud of the businesses that comprise his Meta Platforms empire.
This video follows on the heels of an extremely viral, doctored image featuring Nancy Pelosi and puts Facebook’s policy regarding deepfakes to the test. On its main service, Facebook typically does not remove fake or altered images but instead down-prioritizes them and places them alongside third party fact checkers for identification purposes.
1. Interview with Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg is one of the wealthiest people on Earth. He has amassed billions for efforts to eliminate diseases around the globe and built an expansive real estate empire; all while expanding his family with three daughters. Additionally, Mark is an avid fitness enthusiast, regularly practicing mixed martial arts while spending quality time with wife Priscilla Chan.
Zuckerberg may not always be known for his relaxed public speaking, but last week when he appeared on podcaster Joe Rogan’s show for a 3-hour segment, things softened considerably. Topics discussed ranged from the metaverse and exercise habits of Zuckerberg himself, as well as allusions about being an automaton jokes made about him by people around him.
One of the more memorable moments occurred when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked about its forthcoming virtual-reality headset, scheduled for release later this year. He revealed that it will feature face and eye tracking so users’ avatars can accurately reflect their expressions.
Zuckerberg is known for his charitable endeavors, but beyond this work he also finds time for travel with his wife and daughter. A skilled businessman, he has made investments including real estate and cars – even taking part in his first jiu-jitsu tournament despite his fame! Despite all these accolades he remains just the same humble individual from Dobbs Ferry in New York.
2. Interview with Priscilla Chan
They first met at an Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity party hosted in 2003, where Chan reconnected with Zuckerberg while waiting in line for the restroom and started talking. Soon thereafter, Chan moved in with him in Palo Alto before attending medical school in San Francisco and eventually becoming a pediatrician herself. Together they have two children — Aurelia and Max — as well as being heavily engaged with philanthropy work.
In 2022, Zuckerberg and Chan set themselves the challenge of visiting all 50 US states within one year and pledged $125 million towards teachers on DonorsChoose crowdfunding site.
Since then, they have established the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative philanthropic limited liability company and its charitable arm Chan Zuckerberg Foundation as well as their political advocacy arm Chan Zuckerberg Advocacy. Furthermore, they have invested in multiple tech companies.
At most times, they prefer to keep their personal lives private, but every now and then Mark and Priscilla Zuckerberg share sweet family moments with their followers – such as this video showing August and Max tag-teaming the cleanup at dinner time with “Parenting Milestone Unlocked.” Watch it here.
3. Interview with Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
Zuckerberg and Chan’s romance reads like something out of an early 2000s romantic comedy: they met while waiting in line at a Harvard party while waiting for bathroom access, then tied the knot nine years later in 2012 in a private ceremony with only their parents present in Palo Alto’s backyard ceremony. Since then they’ve expanded their family, having welcomed two daughters (August and Max), with Aurelia expected soon as well as investing billions into efforts to cure disease while building an extensive real estate portfolio.
Chan and Sheryl Zuckerberg have used some of their wealth to form the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI). CZI’s mission focuses on providing personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities; with 99 percent of Facebook shares going towards supporting its efforts. Yet despite all of this wealth and fame they’ve managed to keep an approachable yet private persona.
Zuckerberg and Chan have become an inspiration to many with their commitment to their marriage and children, particularly during interviews like this one with ABC. Chan revealed how she and her husband divide up childcare duties: Chan handles morning duties while her husband handles bedtime for their daughters. Both partners are generous with their time as Zuckerberg often takes two months of paternity leave when one of their babies arrives; additionally they’re hands-on when it comes to work too: Zuckerberg frequently hosts employee events at Meta Platforms that he co-founded while speaking Mandarin so his employees remain connected with Chinese colleagues!
4. Interview with Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
Zuckerberg stands out among mega-rich people as an individual who spends nearly as much time giving money away as taking it himself. His philanthropic efforts include the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which directs funds toward personalized learning and curing diseases. He and his partner have also donated to organizations like the Centers for Disease Control as well as giving San Francisco General Hospital $1.6 billion backing in 2020. In 2023, Aurelia Zuckerberg joined their family.
She represents everything that Zuckerberg has achieved at Facebook and its spinoff company Meta Platforms, helping him navigate scandals and even an unprecedented stock market collapse that saw his net worth decrease by over one third.
She has encouraged him to be more transparent with his work and face any of its more contentious aspects, such as white supremacy or whether Facebook should be used to spread fake news or shame people about their bodies.
She stood with him as he took to the stage to defend Facebook against Frances Haugen, the whistle-blower who informed a Senate committee of how its algorithms deepen divisions and destabilize democracies. At critical junctures in his life, he turned to her for support and strength.
